YTCi
Diploma in TA Applications
The new YTCi in-house diploma is designed to reward those trainees who have developed their TA knowledge and their application of TA.
It is designed to help prepare the candidates for their future preparation for the external CTA examination and as such is modelled on the requirements for CTA qualification with the requirements being approximately half of those needed for the CTA.
Requirements:
1) 450 hours of TA training and skills development.
2) 50 hours of TA supervision.
3) 350 hours of professional application in the chosen field of TA.
4) Completion of a minimum of 4 assignments:
- 2 presentations of professional work with a 5 minute recording with transcript in the training group.
- 1 presentation of a TAJ article to the group.
- 1 written answer to one of the theoretical questions in section D of the written exam.
5) A diploma assessment - this hour long process will be assessed by the TA trainer and at least two other members of the training group.
- The candidate presents as an ethical and professional practitioner using TA models in the professional work.
- In which the candidate presents one of the clients, presenting their assessment of the clients history, and presenting problem using TA theory.
- In which the candidate is able to describe the TA contract they have with their client.
- Presents a 5 minute recording of their work with the client and is able to describe the process on the recording using a TA model.
On completion of the assessment process the candidate will be awarded their YTCi diploma in TA Applications.
